biography
"Bill Babnick was born October 16th, 1973 in Farmington, NM, the second son to Robert and Linda Babnick. Right away young William was considered a gift from God, and an answer to prayer. You see, after Mr. & Mrs. Robert Babnick had their first son, (Bills brother Bob), Mrs.Babnick had given birth to a baby girl, (Brenda), which would have been Bills older sister,...
But,... the Lord called the baby home shortly after birth. Now the doctors all told Mr. & Mrs.Babnick that they should not try for another baby. They insisted that it would be almost impossible, and that Bills mama would probably die giving birth. But Mr. & Mrs. Babnick did not want to raise their son Robert as an only child. So they asked the Lord to give them another child, and sure enough.... Here came Billy!

Now, according to Bills Mama, Bill developed his entertainment skills at a young age of about 3 years old! Bill had been known to run around the house singing, dancing, and putting on
shows to Greats like Elvis Presley, Hank Sr., Lefty Frizzell, Carl Smith, and Ernest Tub (Whom which Bills Grandpa, played, and was friends with).
Bill was raised in a Christian home, and had grown up singing specials, and in the choir of different Baptist Churches that his parents were members of. You see, Bills Dad worked for El Paso Natural Gas Company, and was transferred to a different town about every 3 to 4 years. Although they never really left New Mexico, and the Babnick family became members of Baptist Churches in Farmington
New Mexico, Jal New Mexico, Albuquerque New Mexico, and El Paso TX.(right on the border of New Mexico).

So at the age of 14, when the Babnick family moved to Albuquerque NM, Bill became known by friends and classmates for his Country singing voice. Soon different parents of Bills friends became aware of his voice, and started taking young William out to different nightclubs, and bars to sit-in and sing with different country bands. It wasn’t long until Bill had been asked to join a few local bands there in Albuquerque NM, and began to be a local favorite around the Albuquerque community, as well as his High School. All through High School, Bill competed and was a leader in many sports including, Football, Wrestling, and Track & Field. He became well recognized by his peers for his abilities in sports, and especially the ability to “Fly” as a pole-vaulter in Track.

By his senior year of high school, Bill was a ASCAP member, and had already been noted in many different local newspapers for his singing and song writing talents. Winning a local Song Writing Contest for a song Titled “Whispers”, Bill decided it was time to take his music career to the next level. Therefore, Bill left Albuquerque, with a buddy, and headed to
Branson MO. Winning different singing contests, and vocal competitions, landed Bill a spot to compete in the Jimmy Dean Country Showdown there in Branson. He won the local competition, and the regional competition in Memphis TN, and went on to compete in the Simi-Final round in Nashville TN.
The Simi-Final round of the competition elected Bill a second place finish, and advanced him to the Final round, which was to be televised on TNN's “Nashville Star of Tomorrow”. Little did Bill know that this was a contest in which he would not win, nor finish.

Bill and his friend (Kyle) had a small run-in with the law, there in Nashville, after celebrating the advancement to the final round of competition. Being from out of state, (Bill and his buddy Kyle) could not post bond, and spent a few weeks in jail, waiting arraignment. By the time Bill was released from jail, the final round had past, and Bill had lost the opportunity to perform, and compete.

Bill left Nashville, and went back to Albuquerque New Mexico, and shortly after ended up in El Paso Texas, where he ended up meeting, and marrying the love of his life Andrea Babnick (Dee Dee). Bill continued to sing around New Mexico, and Texas, and even went back to Nashville a few times to compete in different contests and events.

Finally, after moving his family back to Albuquerque in 2003, Bill decided to get his life right with the Lord, and surrendered to Gods Will. He became a member of Good News Baptist Church, and began to sing, and write Country Gospel Music. Singing Praise to our Lord Jesus Christ, with a smooth southern drawl, bringing a Unique Style to Gospel Music. Now Bill has two different types of performances, an all Country Music Show and a Country Gospel.

Bill recorded his first Country Gospel Single, “When God's Love Was Enough” and released it to over 700 Radio Stations, and is availible for MP3 download.

Currently, Bill is working on recording a full Country CD and will also be recording a Country Gospel CD as well.
Look and listen for it soon............"
